Cincinnati Business Courier: Get a Sneak Peek at Ensemble's New Headquarters

Ensemble Health Partners, a fast-growing revenue cycle firm, is moving into its Blue Ash headquarters this week.

Ensemble will relocate 90 employees per day for the next 10 days, bringing 900 total employees to a portion of its campus at 11511 Reed Hartman Highway. When complete, the 400,000-square-foot facility will be home to about 2,600 employees in an open, collaborative office designed to promote employee health and happiness.

“Everything in this space was designed with the employees’ best interest in mind,” Justin Shafer, chief administrative officer for Ensemble, told me as we toured the completed portion of Ensemble’s campus. “If they’re treated well, they’ll treat our clients well and produce better results.”

Ensemble’s office space has flexible work stations with standing desks. The building was designed to allow as much natural light in as possible.

Judson Ivy, CEO of Ensemble, said the company believes its people are the most important part of Ensemble’s success.

“When you take care of your people, they pay it forward by continuing to deliver exceptional results,” Ivy said in a news release. “As we continue to grow, we want to foster an environment where our associates are inspired and energized, and a space where they have the opportunity to adapt and grow both professionally and personally.”

The new facility will include a conference center that holds up to 600 people, more than 80 huddle and conference rooms, and a state-of-the-art training center. There are different collaborative spaces, ranging from restaurant-style booths to larger rooms with couches and smart TVs.

Another feature that will be available to Ensemble employees is on-site, 10,000-square-foot childcare center with space for up to 200 children. The childcare center will have room for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.

There’s also a wellness room and a large mothers room. The mothers room has spaces where mothers can pump, fridges, sinks, lockers and each individual space has data and electric so they can continue working if they choose to.

Ensemble purchased the western portion of Procter & Gamble Co.’s former Sharon Woods Innovation Center. The company is completely renovating 300,000 square feet of existing space and built an additional 100,000 square feet of office space on the 54-acre campus. With a campus this large, Shafer said the building’s main corridors’ have nicknames, such as Interstates 75, 71 and Cross County Highway.

BHDP is the architect for Ensemble’s campus transformation, with Danis Construction serving as construction manager. Cushman & Wakefield is the project manager.

When the renovation is complete, Ensemble’s campus also will include a training center, a tech center, a fitness center, a full-service 350-seat cafeteria, a game room, and a Starbucks Coffee Bar. The fitness center will include free weights, treadmills, elliptical machines, weight machines and a yoga room. Outside of the building, Ensemble employees will have free parking and bike racks, as well as an outdoor walking path that loops around a pond.

“This building is for our people,” Shafer said.

Ensemble partners with more than 30 clients with over 350 facilities across the U.S. to improve financial outcomes and patient experiences. Since it was founded in 2014, the firm has experienced exponential growth, with more than 5,000 employees across the country.
