EVP, Revenue Cycle
Sean Turner assists the Operations team with target operational processes and areas that will allow us to improve the value of our services and performance for our clients and our company. He is also responsible for developing long-range strategic plans for systems and processes that support a high-performing, patient-centered revenue cycle.
Sean previously served as Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Ensemble, where he had full responsibility for all operational areas of Patient Access, Revenue Integrity, Contract Management and Compliance, Cash Applications, Financial Assistance Program, Vendor Management, Customer Service, Facility and Physician Billing and Follow-Up Operations. He is a seasoned executive revenue cycle leader who previously held responsibility for WellStar, a $4.9B, 11 hospital, 2,000 practitioner integrated health system. Sean successfully led multiple conversions of all revenue cycle operations to Epic in 2013, 2014 and 2018 for all facilities and medical group operations at the health system. Under his leadership, WellStar was an Epic top performer for baseline comparison post-conversion KPIs for initial clean claims rate, baseline revenue performance, CFB, DNFB, Denials and Cash Performance. Prior to WellStar, Sean served as Sr. Executive of Revenue Cycle at Accretive Health and Vice President at Diversified Receivables Management.
Sean attended Clearly University-Livingston where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, graduating with honors. He earned his Master of Business Administration at Kennesaw State University. Sean is a member of Healthcare Financial Management and the Georgia Hospital Association, among other professional affiliations that he holds.
