Emily Jones

SVP, Patient Access

As an operational leader, Emily brings 17 years of Revenue Cycle experience to Ensemble, including 5 years in the physician setting (supporting 20+ practices) and 12 years within the acute care/facility setting. She has managed Patient Access and Pre-Access functions for 14 years, including in her current role for multiple clients.

Prior to joining Ensemble, Emily served as the Sr. Director of Pre-Arrival Services for the Shared Services Center – Fort Smith (Community Health Systems), where she led the centralization efforts for a Pre-Arrival unit that ultimately serviced 30 hospitals in five states. During that time, her team implemented several best practice processes while doubling upfront collections and maintaining a front end denial rate of < 0.5%. During a pilot for Shared Service Center management of three hospital onsite Patient Access, her teams were able to lower front end rejections by 50%, implement automated processes that previously relied heavily on paper and improve front end accuracy scores by 13% in less than three months.

Emily’s prior roles at Community Health Systems and Health Management Associates also include serving as Corporate Pre-Arrival Director with oversight of 72 hospitals, Regional Patient Access Director with oversight of 14 hospitals and Patient Access Manager of a 492-bed facility.

Emily believes in practicing servant leadership by providing education, structure, internal growth and proactive support to her teams. She leads through influence and collaboration, coordinating closely with back end teams to identify issues and trends that can be mitigated within Patient Access.

Emily holds an MBA with an emphasis in Leadership and Ethics from John Brown University.
