Ensemble Health Partners Named a Top Workplace by the Cincinnati Enquirer for the Third Year in a Row

Ensemble Health Partners (“Ensemble”), a leading innovator in revenue cycle management, has been named a 2021 Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Top Workplace by The Enquirer Media. This is the third year in a row Ensemble has been awarded with this honor.

“Ensemble has always believed in putting people first, last and always. We truly believe that our people are the reason for our success,” said Ensemble CEO Judson Ivy. “Our mission is to redefine the possible in healthcare by empowering people to be the difference, and even through a global pandemic, our associates have helped us to succeed in that mission. Throughout an unprecedented year, our associates stood by Ensemble and our healthcare providers, allowing them to focus on what they do best: provide the best care possible to our communities. It’s an honor to know that during this time, our associates also felt valued.”

Ensemble has experienced exponential growth since its founding in 2014 and now has more than 6,800 associates in 47 states. The company partners with more than 380 hospitals and 8,000 healthcare providers across the country to improve financial performance and patient experiences, allowing providers to focus on improving clinical outcomes and reinvesting in patient care. Ensemble experienced significant growth in 2020, adding a record number of new end-to-end clients and achieving record revenue, as well as hiring more than 1,500 new employees nationwide.

“We believe in fostering an environment where our associates can excel and shine and provide them with the resources they need to grow personally and professionally,” said Shannon White, Ensemble President. “While many of our associates are currently working remotely due to COVID-19, we’ve found new ways to ensure that they still feel connected to our mission and our purpose, while also promoting mental and physical well-being.”

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Ensemble created multiple ways for associates to stay connected virtually. Wellness Wednesdays, Lunch with a Side of Leadership, and Coffee Talks are still available each week for associates to talk candidly with their co-workers and leaders. During the virtual holiday party, Ensemble gave away more than $500,000 in prizes, including full kitchen suites and a car.

Ensemble was built on the principle that ‘developing you makes us better’. The company offers access to training and professional development courses across the country. Ensemble wants its associates to live well and be rewarded for their results, offering competitive compensation and benefits such as flex and compressed schedules, remote work opportunities, tuition reimbursement, paid-time-off and employer-paid disability programs along with a quarterly incentive plan.

“We provide multiple channels and tools to support associates in sharing and implementing their ideas on not only how to make Ensemble a top place to work, but how we can improve as a business overall.” said Ensemble Chief People Officer Bill Gilooly. “From the top to the bottom, every single team member has a voice here.”

The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draws on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and business.”

Ensemble has been recognized as a Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare by Becker’s Magazine and a 2019 and 2020 Top Workplace by the Cincinnati Enquirer. In January, Ensemble was awarded the ‘Best in KLAS’ designation for full revenue cycle outsourcing for the second year in a row. The organization was also awarded the 2019 HFMA MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle, placing Ensemble’s level of performance among just 20 hospitals out of 6,210 in the country.
